Dreamiest trip to the mountains & this resort holds so many memories of mine growing up. Welcome to The Omni Homestead Resort. My family would go every other Summer and I truly have the fondest memories growing up going to this gem. To be able to to bring my family was such a weird feeling because it felt like yesterday I was a kid walking the halls and now my littles are soaking up it's greatness with me! To see their faces when we arrived to this beautiful place was honestly beyond words.
It starts when you check in. You enter into this long grand hall where you can feel the history. The decor is beautiful and there is seating all throughout for Tea Time in the afternoons, and mingling in the mornings. They have a tucked away bar for a nice old fashion in the evenings. Just stunning and grand.
Our room was breath taking. It's the President's Suite that has two bedrooms, a living room and this beautiful balcony that over looks the main lawn in the back. This is where you can see golfing, the spa areas, and massive pool area. We stayed in the Fall so during each Season the pool activities change. They were setting up for ice skating for the Winter! The Summers they have a water slide area which would be so fun for the kids. No matter what room you check into you will be blown away.
Every morning we grabbed homemade donuts that are made daily! The whole fam's fave!
What's fun about the Homestead is that you have endless activities to choose from, whether it be more intimate with your other half and you head to the Spa and Serenity Garden area or go on a tractor ride to roast smores with your kiddos. They have it all and it changes by the Season as well!
The first day we took the boys Skeet Shooting. Hayes was too young obviously but Mason had a ball. We all love to shoot so this was fun for all of us!
The views during the Fall are stunning with the mountain scape and leaves changing.
OK let talk food! The nice part for us was that dining was all at the resort so we didn't have to drive our car once we arrived. You can walk to the little downtown but we ate every meal at the resort which was so convenient with the kids and delicious. Make sure and get the mac n cheese at dinner!
Dressing up for dinner! I love the dress code, it's not like it used to be but make sure to bring plenty of "dress up" clothes. Finally a time to dress up since comfy clothes have taken over with this pandemic. I was so ready! We all were.
The second morning we headed out to the fields for some Archery which I never thought I would have enjoyed so much, even Hayes loved it and had a great time!
Later that day I took advantage of the Serenity Garden which is a gorgeous area that has an outdoor natural hot spring fed pool and a reflexology river walk. This is connected right at the
Spa area where the whole family can enjoy the indoor hot spring pool and for me a massage! Note: In the garden Kids are not allowed but they are allowed in the indoor hot springs pool!
Just walking the property is beautiful. They even have fun hiking trails, playground, mini golf, horses and in the Winter skiing and tubing! Another cool spot for the kids is the arcade. Honestly, who am I kidding, fun for all of us! If you need a shopping fix, they also have boutiques right inside the resort. We snagged some lovies for the kiddos, sweatshirts and beer glasses for us.
Leaving here was the saddest for all 4 of us. The kiddos said they want this place to be our tradition, they want to come back every year, so you better believe that is what we are going to do! To feel refreshed after a vacation, especially with kids says a lot, and this trip was just that and more.
