OK. This is a loaded down post. So many faves! I'm also going to use "faves" a lot, but I am working on breaking down this to smaller posts as well!
So here's the deal, Wilmington is our town and Wrightsville Beach is our beach. You drive into Wilmington or fly into Wilmington to get to Wrightsville Beach. I will also say, our town runs along the Intracoastal Waterway and also the Cape Fear River, so there is a lot of water front, just in different versions. If you love a beachy town and that has a fun downtown then we got you covered.
Lets Eat
Breakfast/Coffee Shops
Zekes. Big fat duhhh, this is our restaurant right in Wrightsville Beach! You’ll find great coffee, acai bowls, and breakfast pitas! Also Amazing lunch spot if you love salads or poke bowls! Whole menu served all day!
Drift. Love this spot for their market bowl and matcha!
Our Crepes and More. This is a fave of ours! The owners are actually our amazing neighbors from France and they make the absolute best crepes.
The Workshop. If you notice the sharks tooth necklace I wear everyday it’s from here. They have great coffees, smoothies and my fave lox bagel. Great Wrightsville Beach spot.
Blue Surf. A fave breakfast place of ours and has been for years. On the weekends they do grit bowls and their waffles are amazinggg.
Casa Blanca. Cutest coffee shop up in the Ogden area, great to go to with the girls!
Spill Coffee. This is a coffee shop right on college close to UNCW and they make the most fun coffee, think red velvet latte.
Bespoke. This is my fave coffee shop downtown, such fun decor and great coffee! You'll end up leaving with a T-shirt or coffee mug or bag as well.
Seabird. Downtown for a quick grab and go bite. Gorg interior, fun for a coffee date!
Lunch
Zekes. Oh heyyyy I mean ya know :)
Mess Hall. This is such a cool spot located near downtown called the Cargo District. Great area for shopping, grabbing a beer/coffee and getting a yummy burger or if you’re like me a black bean burger and tots! Don’t forget to ask for their mess hall sauce!
Savorez. This is a fave of ours located downtown. Great ceviche, vegan options, empanadas, tacos and homemade chips for salsa and or guac!
Brasserie. This is my spot for girls lunch or a day date. Grab their quiche of the day and glass of white.
Ceviche's. This is an incredible dinner spot, but they have an excellent lunch menu and killer mojito's and spicy margs!
Block Taco. Best tacos in town and sits right beside the most fun outdoor open bar.
This is the bar Satellite right next door. All open concept, such a fun vibe
Dinner
Yosake/Dram & Morsal. This is a great Asian fusion restaurant. My go to is the Tequila Katie and killer happy hour menu. Located downtown!
PinPoint. This is Nick and I’s date night spot. Hands down best cocktails in Wilmington, amazing bartenders, incredible food. I love that they change up the menu for the season. Just THE best and also downtown!
Dram Yard & Gazebo. This is a great foodie experience place. Stunning interior and a delicious menu that changes with the season.
Rum Cow. This is a fun place to try and when friends are in town we always go to. Great drinks, food and a fun atmosphere!
Indochine. This picture is from the express version in Monkey Junction but this Thai Place has been our most fave place for 10+ years. Truly an experience! The back of the restaurant is a Thailand oasis. An experience place for sure. A must. We get this to go once a week!
Block Taco. Been over this, for tacos it’s our jam.
Roko. This is an Italian place near Mayfaire that is really small so make sure and get a reservation but this is our family go to for “fancy” nights with the kids. So so good!
Seabird. Totally different scene for dinner. This is a new spot downtown that is just stunning inside and has great oysters!
Ceviche's. Been over this one another top spot for us!
Florianas. We just discovered this Italian downtown spot and absolutely loved it!
Drinks
Rooftop Cloud 9. Go for sunset, downtown has the most stunning sunsets!
Dram Yard Gazebo. Walk around Arrive and sit by the outdoor fireplaces.
Oceanic. Great pier in Wrightsville Beach so the views are so pretty!
Flying machine. My favorite brewery in town. There truly are so many good ones though so make sure and seek them out!
Dockside. This restaurant is right on the water, and my fave bar scene, great place to grab a drink with friends and best to get to by boat!
EOD distillery. This is a fun Gin spot!
Satellite. A fave of ours that is right beside Block Taco. All open doors, just a really cool atmosphere to grab a drink and close to downtown. Also an easy spot with the kiddos are in tow.
Shopping
Lumina Station is a great spot. My faves here are Lilies & Lace, Airlie Moon, Island Passage, Monkees and you can do the Brassiere for lunch there!
Lilies & Lace has all the best swim suits, dresses, every day wear and lounge. Plus go for a bra fitting!
Airlie Moon. This is my absolute favorite home store. I say home but they carry decor to the most beautiful jewelry. Great place to find that baby shower gift to finding the perfect coastal light fixture.
Figgy & Co. This is such a cool store for all your makeup, skincare, and facial needs! She carries the best lines like RMS, ILIA, OSEA and so many more.
Tusc. This is located at Mayfaire which is an outdoor shopping area. Think neutrals women’s wear! Great accessories, dresses, little one outfits, you name it!
Auggie & Zo. This boutique is nestled in the Cargo District. I adore her style of clothes and shoes she carries.
Half United. This is also in the Cargo District and a great store to support! They fight against hunger and create the prettiest jewelry. You'll see me rocking their necklace all the time!
Sweetwater Surf Shop. Great swim and clothes, including surf brands, L Space and their own brand as well! You'll see me rocking their sweatshirt all the time!
Surf City Surf Shop. Great spot for those beach brands as well, and they have a fun side called The Annex! Really cool girls and guys styles.
Hallelu. Tucked right near The Workshop. Great brands and styles of clothes they carry! They carry swim, to fun hats, to dresses, you'll find it all!
Vestique. Another great boutique that carries all the trends!
Cloth and Design. Great boutique with amazing brands.
Desert Rose. This is a fun boutique downtown that carry the most fun hats!

Pamper yourself! Head to Lemon for an amazing massage and then head to Figgy & Co for the dreamiest facial!
Wrightsville Beach Park for the kids
Wrightsville Beach loop. It's 3 miles, so a great scenic work out and run
Wrightsville Beach South End- great for sunsets!
Carolina/Kure Beach, and on the way stop at Britt’s donuts in Carolina Beach. Grab a coffee at and then head to the aquarium! You could also take the ferry to Southport! So many movies have been filmed there and it’s a beautiful beach town.
Downtown River Walk.
Airlie Gardens.
Aquarium - This you book your time slot so it's nice and not crowded. There are also trails along the outskirts of the parking lot which are really cool areas for the kids to walk and explore with you
So the best way to truly take in this town is by water in my opinion. Explore it! Surfing, kayaking, paddle board, rent a boat! If you get the chance to see Masonboro Island do it! Our favorite place to go for killer surf. If you are looking for those crystal blue waters head up to the south end of Figure 8 island.
